Shaky Knees

Day One When my buddy told me his dad was able to snag 8 wristbands to the annual Shaky Knees Festival I was ecstatic. He was kind enough to invite a bunch of friends rather than sell them. We all arrived to Centennial Olympic Park at 4:00 PM on Friday and got to see some awesome bands. One of my favorites Portugal The Man kicked off our day and played their new single at the time "Feel It Still." Following them was Cage The Elephant, and they put on a hell of a show. The leader singer has an incredible stage presence, dancing all around the stage and diving into the crowd song after song. We were able to catch 20 minutes of The Pixes that were sadly a bit disappointing because they played all songs that my friends and I had never heard of none of their classics like "Monkey Gone To Heaven", "Here Comes Your Man", or "Where Is My Mind?" Tennessee Total Annihilation

Off to Knoxville This past weekend 3 of my roommates and I made the trip to Knoxville for the Georgia vs. Tennessee game. We were excited because we knew our defense is solid this year and UT's offense is lacking. We decided to stay at a Super 8 which was a surprisingly pleasant experience. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was quaint and had the essential amenities such as a 40" tv and a mini fridge, and the best part of the hotel was that we had a perfect view of a Taco Bell right outside our window. The Knoxville bar scene is nothing compared to Athens but they were lively for sure with live music in almost all of them. The Tennessee students varied in how they treated us. To our surprise the guys were nice and admitted that we had the better football accepting that we would most likely would (and did) beat them.
